These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the layrs website, product, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by layrs (“layrs”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at support@layrs.me if you suspect unauthorized access.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to violate any law or infringe anyone’s rights.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source code or model outputs at scale beyond personal use.
- Probe, scan, or test the Service’s vulnerability except via the channel described on our contact page.
- Submit content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes intellectual property.
- Use the Service to build a competing product or train a model.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or the servers and networks that host it.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You can cancel at any time from the billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current period; partial subscription periods are not pro-rated. See our Refund Policy for refund eligibility.
We may change prices for paid plans on at least 30 days’ notice. If you don’t want to continue at the new price, you can cancel before it takes effect.
4. Your content and ours
You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service (prompts, notes, voice transcripts). You grant layrs a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content solely to provide the Service to you.
We may use de-identified, aggregated data derived from your use of the Service to improve the product. We will not use your personal content to train external models on your behalf, except as described in our privacy policy.
The Service itself (software, designs, trademarks, the layrs name and logo) is the property of layrs and is protected by intellectual property law.
5. AI-generated content
The Service uses large language models to generate roadmaps, lesson briefs, voice responses, and rubric evaluations. These outputs can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading. You should not rely on the Service for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. Use your own judgment.
6. Third-party services
The Service depends on third-party providers (Supabase, LiveKit, Anthropic, DodoPayments, Razorpay, and others). We’re responsible for our integrations with them, but their own terms govern their underlying services.
7. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the settings page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that creates risk for us, other users, or the integrity of the Service. We’ll give you reasonable notice where practical.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, layrs disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any AI output will be accurate.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, layrs and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 100.
10. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold layrs harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or any law.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of Bangalore, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you by email or via an in-product notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
